Healthy Snack Resource Box

Hi Parents. I have been thinking about healthy snacks and having some fresh fruit and other healthy snacks donated by families in our school to be used for kids in our school. My thought is we can bring in a simple piece of fruit or other healthy snacks, like granola, fruit cups, crackers and string cheese, and we just drop it in the box. This is not meant to be a burden on anyone. Just a resource for teachers in case a student gets hungry and doesn't have a snack.

  • Our students are eager to celebrate our 2nd annual Super Hero Day on Wednesday June 5th! In the days leading up to the event, students will be working with their teachers to create their superhero persona, one who aims to make a difference in the world. They'll choose colors and superpowers, create masks and accessories to wear on the big day. We'll need volunteers to help make this event a success. We'll have a sign up genius link up soon, for now you can get an idea of the event by looking at these pictures!
  • Our 2019 Bingo Night is finally here! This is a free event open to all Alma Fuerte Family members. Our Bingo Night will be on Friday April 12th after school around 5pm, exact time to be announced. We will be serving Hot Dogs and Nachos. Our theme colors will be Alma Fuerte Colors (red and blue). We'll be selling tickets in the days before the event to cut down on having a long line during the event. Prizes: Our classes will be putting together themed baskets for which your classroom teacher will reach out. More information coming soon. We need help putting prizes together, help us by reaching out to local businesses! You can use the template below when asking for donations but please be sure to add your outreach to our shared google doc: Hi There! I'm a parent at Alma Fuerte Public School in Altadena. Our students are currently fundraising and we are asking for in-kind donations that we can raffle-off or sell in Silent Auctions. This can be as small or as large as you want, anything is welcome!  This is a great opportunity to give back as well as to expose our community to your services/ products. Beyond asking for your help through donations, we want to create long-lasting and mutually beneficial partnerships with members of the Pasadena/ Altadena community.  Our goal is that by graduation, our students will have created a business of their own design, if there are any other ways you'd like to collaborate to help us reach this goal, please let us know. Thank you so much! For any questions, a please email or call (626)204-5265. Checkout some pictures from last year's event:
