First grade has been working diligently and is adapting gracefully to new learning expectations.
We have finalized initial assessments to make certain students are challenged just enough to maintain self-motivation and demonstrate ownership of their role as problem solvers and active learners in our community. We have begun our Reader's and Writer's Workshop and other engaging activities that promote inquiry-based learning.
